When keeping the house clean starts to feel like more than you can manage, it's not a failure — it's a signal that a little help can go a long way. Domestic assistance isn't about giving up your home. It's about keeping it yours, exactly as you like it.
Our carers work through the tasks that have become difficult — systematically, reliably, and exactly to your standards. A clean home is a comfortable home, and a comfortable home is the foundation of good health.
Floors throughout the home done regularly — including under furniture and in hard-to-reach areas that often get missed.
Benchtops, shelves, ornaments, window sills and skirting boards — the detail that makes a home feel genuinely clean.
Sorting, washing, drying, and folding — or pressing items that need it. Your clothes cared for just the way you like them.
Fresh sheets, properly made — because sleep is better when the bed is right, and this task becomes harder as mobility decreases.
Sinks, hobs, benches, appliance exteriors, toilet, bath, shower, and tiles — the two rooms that need regular attention most.
Checking expiry dates, cleaning fridge shelves, and keeping pantry items accessible — small tasks that protect both safety and nutrition.
Putting bins out, basic weeding or watering, and keeping the entry to the home clear and safe — maintaining the outside too.
Shopping trips with or for the client, plus preparing fresh meals or cooking in line with dietary and cultural food preferences.
Anyone can clean a house. What makes J.PEER Health different is how we do it — and who we send to do it.
Every household is run differently. Some families remove shoes at the door. Others prefer certain products. Some items are precious and shouldn't be moved. Our carers are trained to ask, to listen, and to work around how you live — not impose a one-size-fits-all approach.
Food and home are deeply personal — especially across cultures. Our carers understand that how a kitchen is organised, what food is kept where, and how meals are prepared means something. Language-matched care means we understand these preferences without explanation.
We know you've rearranged your day around a carer's visit. We take that seriously. Our scheduling is consistent, our carers communicate promptly if anything changes, and we follow up to make sure every visit met your expectations.
Domestic assistance isn't a last resort — it's a smart, dignified way to stay on top of the home you love.
When physical limitations, fatigue, or recovering health make housework genuinely difficult, domestic assistance provides a regular, reliable helping hand — without the client having to ask family every time something needs doing.
Adult children who visit regularly often find themselves spending their entire visit cleaning rather than connecting. Bringing in domestic support means visits can be about conversation, not chores.
After a hospital stay or major health event, the focus should be entirely on recovery — not worrying about whether the kitchen is clean or the washing is done. Domestic support during recovery periods can meaningfully improve health outcomes.
Domestic assistance is available through the Support at Home program or as a private service. See our Pricing & Fees page for more detail, or speak to us directly.
Getting domestic assistance set up with J.PEER Health is easy. There's no paperwork mountain — just a conversation.
Ring 0469 371 121 or send us a message below. Tell us what's needed, how often, and when. We'll have a relaxed conversation about what would help most.
We'll learn how you like things done — your preferences, your priorities, any rooms or items that are off-limits. Your care plan is a custom task list, not a generic one.
Your matched carer comes at a regular time that suits your schedule. They know the home, they know your preferences, and they get on with it. We check in regularly to make sure the service is meeting your expectations.
Domestic assistance covers household tasks like cleaning, laundry, cooking, and shopping. Personal care covers tasks involving direct physical support — bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility. Many clients receive both, and we can combine them into a single seamless care plan.
Absolutely. Your care plan is built around your priorities. If vacuuming and laundry are the main challenges, that's where we focus. If you'd prefer more time on meal preparation and less on cleaning, we do that. We work to your list, not a generic checklist.
As often as you need. Some clients have a carer visit once a week for a few hours; others need daily support. Frequency is determined by your needs and your Support at Home funding level (or private arrangement). We'll help you work out what's realistic and sustainable.

Yes. Meal preparation is part of our domestic assistance service. This includes preparing fresh meals, reheating food, and cooking in accordance with any dietary requirements or cultural food preferences. We understand that food is deeply connected to culture and wellbeing — our carers respect that.
Tell us what you need and we'll put together a plan that makes sense for your home, your schedule, and your budget.
